In the midst of festive preparations, a group of compassionate Vodafone Fiji employees demonstrated the true meaning of Christmas by putting others first. Led by Jeremaia Bose and supported through the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation's Staff Engagement Program, the team brought an early Christmas gift to 15 street kids who have lost both their parents.
The initiative, funded with $5,000 allocated by the Foundation for staff groups, transformed resources into tangible hope for vulnerable children in need. The team carefully selected essential items that would make a meaningful difference in these children's daily lives, including groceries for nourishment, a cane knife for safety and livelihood support, and solar lights to brighten their dark nights.
However, beyond the material assistance, the visiting team gave something even more valuable—love, presence, and dignity to children who often feel forgotten by society.
Elia Berabi, who along with his wife serves as caregiver to these orphaned children, expressed deep gratitude for the visit: "Vinaka vakalevu Vodafone na veisiko tu mai. Vuavuai tiko na tabacakacaka blessings #JesusOurProvider." (Thank you Vodafone for always visiting. May your work continue to bear blessings.)
