This long-standing collaboration reflects a shared mission of promoting health and sustainability.
The European Union's unwavering support for the communities of Fiji and the Pacific was also highlighted. Their vision for financial support of the ICAF Project exemplifies a deep commitment to fostering sustainable development and climate resilience. Fong praised the EU’s vast support, noting that seeing inclusiveness championed by such a significant entity is a remarkable achievement.
The ICAF Project aims to strengthen civil society organizations and enhance the capacities of vulnerable communities in adapting to and mitigating the adverse effects of climate change. Through climate-smart agriculture practices, resilient infrastructure solutions, and advocacy for inclusive development, the project aspires to empower communities to thrive amidst climate challenges.
Today's launch sought to familiarize all key partners with the Action and partnership agreements, reaffirming shared goals, vision, and commitment to maximizing impact through collaborative efforts. Fong stressed that through unity and determination, remarkable results could be achieved, paving the way for a brighter, more resilient future for Fiji.
In closing, Fong extended profound thanks to the European Union for their steadfast support and commitment to Fiji’s people. He asserted that the EU’s vision for inclusive climate action aligns perfectly with the Foundation's mission of creating a resilient, sustainable future for all.
"Let us embark on this journey together, with renewed vigor and determination, to make a lasting difference in the lives of our communities," Fong concluded. "Vinaka vakalevu and thank you."
