Customer Identification Requirements

Pursuant to regulation 40 of the National Payments System Regulations 2022, Vodafone Fiji Pte Limited is strengthening its M PAiSA “Know Your Customer” (KYC) customer identification and verification requirements.

To ensure that existing and potential new M-PAiSA users are not excluded from using the services, Vodafone Fiji Pte Limited has created two tiers of users depending on the level of information received.

Tier 1
Based on current requirements, existing and potential M-PAiSA users wallet limit will be reduced to $5,000 from 31/03/2025 if they do not meet the new requirements in full.
Once full customer identification documents are met and verified their account balance limit will be restored to the full $10,000 (Tier 2). 

Tier 2
To be eligible for maintaining maximum M-PAiSA account balance of $10,000, existing and new M-PAiSA users must meet the following requirements per below requirements from 31/03/2025.

Date of Birth: Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate

Citizenship: Birth Certificate or Citizenship Certificate
Non-Resident - Valid Passport
Permanent Residential Address in Fiji: Voter Card, Valid Driver’s Licence, or Confirmation from Referee Form
Occupation: Recent Payslip, Letter from Employer, Student ID, or Confirmation from Referee Form
Source of Funds: Recent Payslip, Letter from Employer, Student ID, or Confirmation from Referee Form
Specimen Signature: Verified by staff during face-to-face account registration
Taxation Details: FNPF/FRCS Joint Card or TIN Letter
Other Mandatory Documents for Non-Resident Customers:

-A current and valid work, business, or other permit/visa issued by the Fiji Immigration Department.

-A current and valid employment or student status document issued by the customer's employer or education institution in Fiji.

-Non-Resident TIN (if applicable).


Issuance of e – money wallet

Pursuant to regulation 40 of the National Payments System Regulations 2022, effective 31/03/25, Vodafone M-PAiSA will be limiting to two (2), the maximum number of M-PAiSA wallets/accounts an individual can hold at any one point in time.
Current customers with multiple wallets will be contacted and their wallets will be progressively consolidated more than two account will be closed off.
