Registration Process

 

Customer/M-PAiSA registration is a mandatory process to complete in order to send/receive money to or form any party locally and abroad (you can only receive money from abroad) directly from your mobile number. Registered users can transfer money dependent on agent outlet operating hours.

 

Condition

You must register your mobile number to use our products and services.
You can only purchase and register a number at any Vodafone’s authorized re-seller. M-PAiSA service can be activated by dialling *181# or downloading the M-Paisa app once a number is successfully registered.
You can only register a mobile number once.
You must present a Valid and Original ID.
Any of the following constitutes as a valid ID –
Driver’s License
Voter Registration
Passport
FRCS Card
FNPF/ FRCS Joint Card
TIN Letter + Valid Photo ID
Birth Certificate + Valid Photo ID
FNPF Card
Student ID + TIN Letter/ FRCS Card
A digital copy of your ID will be kept for Customer/M-PAiSA records.
No deposit is required when you register for Customer/M-PAiSA.
You will not be charged for depositing money into your M-PAiSA account.
International Customers will need to register using their Passports only.

How do I know which shop is an M-PAiSA authorized agent?

The agent will have an 'M-PAiSA Here' sign visible from far away

 

What happens if I forget the pin I have just entered after the registration?

The customer will have to visit a Vodafone Retail Outlet (no other authorized M-PAiSA agent) with their valid and original ID inorder to have their M-PAiSA secret pin reset.

 

If I have lost or deleted my pin, how can I reset it?

The customer will have to visit a Vodafone Retail Outlet (no other authorized M-PAiSA agent) with their valid and original ID inorder to have their M-PAiSA secret pin reset.

 

If I need to change/update my records - how can I do that?

The customer will have to visit Vodafone Retail only (no other authorized M-PAiSA agent) with their valid and original ID inorder to have the records updated or changed.

 

What happens if the agent enters my details incorrectly?

The customer will have to visit Vodafone Retail only (no other authorized M-PAiSA agent) with their valid and original ID inorder to have the records updated or changed.

 

What if I do not wish to register for sending money?

You cannot send money if you do not register

 

What happens if there is a technical glitch and the agent cannot register me?

 

The customer will have to wait till the issue has been rectified before they can register again. The customer cannot call Customer Care to register - all registraitons are done at M-PAiSA agent outlets only

Why can't I call Customer Care & register my details directly without having to leave my home?

  • M-PAiSA is a new Service
  • It involves money transfer
  • Personal registration with a valid and original ID is a RBF regulation

Is a deposit required after registration?

No deposit is necessary when the customer registers.
