Vodafone is reminding M-PAiSA users to update their M-PAiSA App to version 2.4.1 if they are using mobile phones with Android operating software such as Samsung devices and those using Apple (iPhone) devices must upgrade to version 2.1.15 if they wish to continue using the M-PAISA App beyond 14th January
The earlier versions of the M-PAiSA App will be phased out at midnight on 14th January. Those M-PAiSA users who do not upgrade to the recommended version of the App will no longer be able to access M-PAiSA services via the App. The upgraded App is part of the ongoing App upgrade undertaken from time to time as with all other Apps for enhanced features and functionalities for a better user experience.
Vodafone has over the last six (6) months been advising users to upgrade to the new App version. However, despite these reminders, several users have yet to upgrade to the new App version.
Be it domestic person-to-person money transfers, receiving money sent by relatives from overseas, making cashless payments for shopping, bill payments, online shopping or over-the-counter payments using M-PAiSA QR, it has revolutionised how payments are made in the country. It has also made it very convenient to receive cash assistance from the government. This includes back-to-school grants, disaster relief and social welfare payments etc. And now with M-PAiSA Mastercard, Fijians travelling abroad do not have to run around looking for foreign currency. They can simply put money in their M-PAiSA account and use it anywhere in the world.
Some Samsung users who may not be able to upgrade to the new App from the Play Store can download the M-PAiSA (SE) version of the App hosted on the Vodafone website. Vodafone is urging users not to ignore M-PAiSA App upgrade messages sent to their mobiles and to upgrade accordingly to ensure they have the updated App version at all times.
SMS messages from Vodafone are being sent directly to M-PAiSA users who have not yet upgraded their Apps as a final reminder to do so. Any user having difficulty upgrading to the new App could seek assistance by calling Customer Care lines on 123, 124 or 125 for Vodafone users and 443 or 444 for Inkk mobile users
