In a strong show of regional solidarity and humanitarian commitment, the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has pledged $20,000 to support relief and recovery efforts following the recent devastating earthquake in Vanuatu. The contribution was formally handed over to the Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Vanuatu Mr. Ravendra Chand at the Vodafone Headquarters in Tamavua, reinforcing the Foundation's dedication to aiding communities in crisis through its Vodafone Red Alert (VRA) program.
The VRA program, a key component of the Foundation's disaster response efforts, is specifically designed to provide aid to regions devastated by natural disasters. This proactive strategy highlights the Foundation's steadfast dedication to resilience, recovery, and the rebuilding of impacted communities.

Our support for Vanuatu demonstrates our commitment to helping communities rebuild and recover from the devastation caused by the recent earthquake. This allocation, endorsed by our Vodafone ATH Trustees, highlights the importance of regional cooperation and collective action”, stated Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation Chairman Mr. Ivan Fong.
The recent earthquake caused extensive damage across Vanuatu, highlighting the urgent need for reliable communication networks. The allocated funds will be strategically utilized to establish and restore communication channels, ensuring that affected communities can connect with emergency services and receive timely updates.
