Vodafone Fiji wishes to advise all its valued customers to be vigilant and aware of recent Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency related scams. The scam involves a hoax text message sent to victims on cryptocurrency purchases, promising a financial return to the victim in exchange for initial transfer of funds made to the criminal/perpetrator’s M-PAiSA e-wallet.
Please be advised that cryptocurrencies, also referred to as virtual currencies or digital currencies, which include Bitcoin, Ethereum and others, are illegal in Fiji.
