Fiji Football Association received a major boost to start 2019 on a grand note as major sponsor Vodafone announced a $5.5m sponsorship this evening.
This sponsorship further strengthens the strong partnership between Fiji FA and Vodafone for five years at all levels.
Vodafone Fiji chief marketing officer Rajnesh Prasad said Vodafone Fiji reaffirms its alliance with Fiji Football Association to take Fijian Football to the next level.
“We are proud to announce our sponsorship with Fiji FA for a further five years at all levels including schools, youth, Women’s football, District and National Teams,” Prasad said.
“This sponsorship reflects on our commitment to develop football at all levels and raise the profile of players in the country.”
He said our youngsters now have the opportunity to shine and pursue the sport further with the support from our sponsorship towards the Primary and Secondary School’s competitions.
“The future is definitely exciting, and I am certain that with this support we will help shape the future stars in football.
“Ladies & Gentlemen, as we all may be aware, Fiji FA is preparing for “Mission 2026” and we stand firm to support this mission and qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.”
Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel was overwhelmed with the further partnership. He whole heartedly thanked Vodafone Fiji for making the plans possible at Fiji FA. “Having all the development plans made, it is only possible with Vodafone being on board. “They are the ones who have set platform for us. “With their sponsorship money, we can look at our savings and then concentrate on building the infrastructure and football development in Fiji.”
