Ellen Whippy-Knight, Managing Director of Fiji Fashion Week today announced Vodafone Fiji as the exclusive Naming Rights sponsor of Fiji Fashion Week with a three year deal from May 2019 to May 2021.
The event will now be titled as Vodafone Fiji Fashion Week.
Vodafone is excited to be on board of such an extravagant event that we resonate with in terms of promoting astounding local talents and step forward onto the international fashion ramp added Vodafone’s Chief Marketing Officer, Rajnesh Prasad.
With Fiji Fashion Week in its 12th year Whippy-Knight declared this as one of the best moments yet. “Having Vodafone Fiji on board as our Major Sponsor will do wonders and open doors for our Fashion designers and the industry in general.
Fiji Fashion Week has been very fortunate to have had the 3 major Media organisations in Fiji namely, Fiji Times, Fiji TV, CFL and international beverages company Coca Cola Amatil supporting our program into the 12th year now. FMF Fiji Ltd came aboard in 2018 and Fiji Water and Paradise Beverages have re-joined the high profile sponsorship line up.
Vodafone a global brand and Fiji’s most prominent telecommunications organisation is not new to the Fashion industry, having sponsored other similar events like London Fashion Week and the British Fashion Awards until just recently.
Brand association with Vodafone Fiji Limited will only boost the profile and the work Fiji Fashion Week has committed to the development of the local Fashion industry since its inception in 2008.
Our passion to promote and encourage Fijians to achieve greater heights is clearly reflected in our sponsorships. This collaboration will see more connection with aspiring designers to further their dreams into reality as a business and potential pathway to a career in the creative industry, added Prasad.
“Together, we work to enhance and support the work of our local designers and explore the unique opportunities and access to the world of fashion.
Vodafone is an innovative brand, Fashion is about innovation, and I see a bright rewarding future ahead for both of our brands, acknowledged Whippy -Knight”.
