Ranjeeta Devi of Lautoka was announced the winner of Vodafone’s Mother’s day promotion today. Devi was all smile when $25,000 worth of prizes handed after only sending in two entries for the promotion.
An elated Devi said, “I don’t believe that I have won. I just texted to try my luck. Now, I win $25,000 worth of prizes. It is the biggest gift I have ever received”. Ms. Devi said she takes part in a lot of Vodafone’s promotions because her husband; Jaswant Prasad encourages her to saying ‘never know that you may win’.
As part of the Mother’s Day promotion, Vodafone gave away a gold necklace set worth $21,000, a Samsung Galaxy S9 and a night’s stay at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf Resort and Spa for 2 people. Ms. Devi who is a mother of three also celebrates her birthday this month; the win adds double celebrations for the Prasad family.
“Mums are our superheroes and we wanted to give something big as part of our Mother’s Day Text and Win promotion”, said Vodafone’s Head of Customer Care, Vishala Raman.
Mother’s Day promotion started on 25th March and closed on 6th May. The draw for the promotion was held at Vodafone Head Office by a police officer. Ms. Devi was notified of her win after the draw concluded.

Ms. Raman congratulated Devi and wished her and all Mother’s a Happy Mother’s Day.
